The Chang Chavkin Center for Liberal Education and Civic Life pursues several initiatives whose goal is to strengthen and expand liberal education in colleges and universities nationwide.
Faculty Institutes
The Chang Chavkin Center supports the work of educators who are bringing liberal education to life by creating opportunities to connect, convene, and collaborate.
Knowledge for Freedom
The Chang Chavkin Center is the home of Knowledge for Freedom, a national network of campus-based residential programs for high school students who aspire to be the first in their families to attend college. These programs introduce students to liberal education and support their successful transition to and through college.
Teagle Foundation Fellowship
Each year, the Chang Chavkin Center supports an individual educator or organization that is leading the way in liberal education.
